Hi all--I've been lurking on this list for a couple of months...decided
it was time to speak up.
We've been kicking around a new book idea here at Ventana, and I wanted
to get some feedback. Here's the setup: the book would address areas of
concern to all us 3D people, without being attached to any one program.
Chapters would discuss staging, camera placement and movement, lighting,
scene design, light and shadows, and so on. The idea is to make a
general-purpose 3D book. What do y'all think? This is a semi-serious
proposal at this point, and if it goes forward, we'll be looking for
authors...This idea came about from seeing how commonplace 3D programs
have become, but how often they are misused. Feedback is welcome...
